Welcome to my creative venture.

After working for numerous years with equine clients, I have learned the value of being present and connected. Frequent exposure to powerful and potentially dangerous horses demanded that I hone my skill set to stay safe. I employed various physical therapy techniques to help correct the challenging issues in their bodies and increase their comfort and performance.

This unique career path has allowed me to develop “grounded awareness” — to become fully connected and present in the moment. You may be asking, what does this have to do with photography? If you have spent time with an artist working on their craft, you are likely aware of the concentration and focus involved in each creative moment.

In like manner, I have diligently worked at full awareness as a photographer. This ongoing process involves engaging as many of my senses as possible. Through this discipline, I have connected deeply with everything around me. Although I have an affinity for nature photography, I can transition to photographing eye-catching architecture and, occasionally, interesting human subjects.

My goal is to share with you “connectivity through the lens” as I look for subjects and capture the lines, patterns, textures, shapes, variations of color, and aspects of light and dark to create images that evoke emotions in my viewers.

As I focus inward to discover what speaks to me creatively as an “artist with a camera,” may you do likewise as you journey with me as someone with an eye for photography.
